The stationary and nonstationary rotating Navier-Stokes equations with mixed boundary conditions are investigated in this paper. The existence and uniqueness of the solutions are obtained by the Galerkin approximation method. Next, θ-scheme of operator splitting algorithm is applied to rotating Navier-Stokes equations and two subproblems are derived. The objective of this work is to investigate through the numeric simulation, the effects of the weakly viscoelastic flow within a rotating rectangular duct subject to a buoyancy force due to the heating of one of the walls of the duct. A direct velocity–pressure algorithm in primitive variables with a Neumann condition for the pressure is employed. The spatial discretization is made with finite central differences on a staggered grid. The pressure field is directly updated without any iteration. Numerical simulations were done for several Weissemberg numbers (We) and Grashof numbers (Gr) . The numerical results show that for high Weissemberg numbers (We>7.4 × 10?5) and for ducts with aspect ratio 2:1 and 8:1, the secondary flow is restabilized with a stretched double vortex configuration. It is also observed that when the Grashof number is increased (Gr>17 × 10?4) , the buoyancy force neutralizes the effects of the Coriolis force for ducts with aspect ratio 8:1. A rotating cylindrical electrochemical cell with a plane ring electrode on its cover containing a binary electrolyte was considered. The equation for the diffusion limiting current density on the ring electrode was derived ignoring the effect of Coriolis force. The solution of transfer equations by the Karman method at the limiting current in the cell allowed us to analyze the effect of Coriolis force on the boundary layer thickness and to determine the conditions, under which the Coriolis force may be ignored. 相似文献

In China more than two-thirds of available coal reserves are in arid areas, where, to beneficiate the run-of-mine coal,there is not enough water resource required by conventional processing. Developing efficient dry beneficiation technology is of great significance for efficient coal utilization in China, notably the clean coal technology (CCT). The dry coal beneficiation technology with air-dense medium fluidized bed utilizes air-solid suspension as beneficiating medium whose density is consistent for beneficiation, similar in principle to the wet dense medium beneficiation using liquid-solid suspension as separating medium. The heavy portion in feedstock whose density is higher than the density of the fluidized bed will sink, whereas the lighter portion will float, thus stratifying the feed materials according to their density.In order to obtain efficient dry separation in air-dense medium fluidized bed, stable fluidization with well dispersed micro-bubbles must be achieved to ensure low viscosity and high fluidity. The pure buoyancy of beneficiation materials plays a main role in fluidized bed, and the displaced distribution effect should be restrained. The displaced distribution effects include viscosity displaced distribution effect and movement displaced distribution effect. The former is caused by viscosity of the fluidized bed. It decreases with increasing air flow velocity. Movement displaced distribution effect will be large when air flow rate is too low or too high. If medium particle size distribution and air flow are well controlled, both displaced distribution effects could be controlled effectively. A beneficiation displaced distribution model may be used to optimize beneficiation of feedstock with a wide particle size distribution and multiple components in the fluidized bed. The rheological characteristics of fluidized beds were studied using the falling sphere method. Experimental results indicated that the fluidized bed behaves as a Bingham fluid. The plastic viscosity and yield stress can be obtained by measurement of the terminal settling velocity of spheres and linear regression of the experimental data. Both plastic viscosity and yield stress increase with increasing size of the fluidized particles. The drag coefficient can be calculated with favorable agreement with experimental data.The first dry coal beneficiation plant with air-dense medium fluidized bed was established by CUMT with an output of 320000 t.a-1 and a probable error Ep value up to 0.05 was achieved. The plant was accepted by the Chinese government in June, 1994. Since then, new applications have been found including a 700000 t.a-1 dry coal beneficiation plant put up for commercial testing. To realize coal dry beneficiation of full size range of 300~0 mm, further research on dry coal beneficiation of different size fractions has been under way at the Mineral Processing Research Center of CUMT, leading to the following results:● Dry beneficiation technology with a vibrated air-dense medium fluidized bed for fine coal of size fraction 6~0.5 mm Ash content was reduced from 16.57% to 8.35%, with yield up to 80.20% and Ep value up to 0.065.● Coal dry beneficiation technology with a deep air-dense medium fluidized bed for >50 mm coal An Ep value up to 0.02 was achieved. This technology is of great value for waste removal from 300~50 mm large feedstock, especially for big surface mines in China.● Coal triboelectric cleaning technology for <1 mm pulverized Coal Coal is comminuted down to 320 mesh (0.043 mm) to fully liberate the embedded minerals, yielding an ultra-low ash coal (less than 2%). Currently a pilot system with triboelectric cleaning has successfully passed technical appraisal.● Three-product beneficiation technology with dual-density fluidized bedThis technology yields three products: clean coal, middling and tailing, with the following typical results: Ep value of 0.06~0.09 for the upper layer with a density of 1.5~1.54 g.cm-3 and Ep value of 0.09~0.11 for the lower layer with density of 1.84~1.9 g.cm-3. 相似文献

This work addresses the adsorption of benzothiophene (BT), as a model heterocyclic and aromatic sulphur compound present in
road fuels, over agglomerated zeolites with faujasite structure. Several adsorbents based on zeolites with FAU structure have
been prepared with different Si/Al molar ratios and exchange cations and then agglomerated. The influence of the zeolite basicity
has been studied, both in equilibrium and dynamic liquid phase adsorption experiments. Basicity of the adsorbent increased
as the Si/Al molar ratio and the electronegativity of the exchange cation decreased. In equilibrium experiments, the affinity
towards the adsorbent increased as the Si/Al molar ratio decreased, showing the highest affinity for exchanged low silica
X zeolites with medium basicity (A-KLSX-02). Dynamic experiments showed that the less zeolite basicity, the higher fractional
bed utilization and adsorption capacity at breakthrough time. Besides, zeolites with high basicity did not reach the equilibrium
capacity due to the low diffusivity of BT into the micropores. Thermogravimetric analyses of the spent adsorbents showed a
stronger BT adsorption onto the more basic zeolites. As main conclusion, adsorbents with medium basicity could present the
best performance in fuel desulphurization due to their high affinity with sulphur compounds, although diffusion problems should

In this study, ultrasound either as a pretreatment technique or as an integrated technique was employed to enhance fluidized bed drying of Ascophyllum nodosum, and drying kinetics and dried product quality were assessed. In order to compare technology efficiency and dried product qualities, oven drying and fluidized bed drying (FBD) were employed. The novel drying methods included airborne ultrasound-assisted fluidized bed drying (AUA), ultrasound pre-treatment followed by FBD (USP), and hot water blanching pre-treatment followed byFBD (HWB). Six drying kinetics models were used to describe the drying curves, among which the Page model was the best in fitting USP and AUA. Model by Millidi et al. was employed to describe HWB. Airborne ultrasound in AUA did not reduce energy consumption or drying time, but retained total phenolic content (TPC) as well as colour, and exhibited the highest yield among the novel drying methods. USP and HWB showed lower energy consumption and drying time considerably, but the TPC was the lowest among the studied methods. At the same time, USP dried product exhibited the lowest aw, followed by HWB and then AUA. This studyalso demonstrated that FBD could be a very practical drying method on Irish brown seaweed, and ultrasound-assisted drying methods may have potential developments in Irish brown seaweed drying process. 相似文献

由于成本低,运行稳定,重力驱动移动床在高温固体散料余热回收领域应用潜力较大。然而,相关强化传热技术目前仍待完善。本文基于离散单元法,对颗粒流外掠翅片单元的流动换热特性进行了数值研究。研究表明:通过翅片增加换热面,可以显著提高传热量,但不同翅片单元外颗粒流传热特性不同。颗粒流与不同表面的换热,由颗粒更新、颗粒接触、颗粒竞争掺混以及表面面积共同决定。总体来说,在迎流区,倾斜平表面能扩大面积并确保颗粒更新,更有利于换热增强。而对于背流区,竞争掺混与颗粒接触的影响更大,采用圆弧表面更有优势。 相似文献
